Planned Breedings

2012 plans are starting to role.

As of now we are planning two litters of Staffords.

Marley has now been bred to Rex, the first breeding took place on March 3rd.
Two excellent red dogs, with temperaments, ability and drives that are exactly what we value.
Assuming this breeding is successful, pups should arrive the week of May 3rd.

Odin has proven himself to be what we value in a Stafford on every level. for this reason (and his track-record thus far), he is being bred to our own Sally the first week of March, 2012.

Both of these breedings will be expecting pups early May.

Portions of these litters will not be made available, we are retaining hopefuls for the next generation for ourselves. Waiting list is already in place and starting to fill up.

We are happy to be planning a breeding of two excellent Cane Corso specimens.
Reena will be bred to Rogue from Ultimate K-9 Bodyguards.

Beth is our little girl out of Bell and Dude. This little girl is tightly bred on old dynamite lines going back to legendary dogs with very few variables in the mix. Beth is young, but has some big shoes to fill considering who her parents are and the list of ancestors behind her. Dark brindle with small white points, I expect similar mature proportions as her mother. Beth is developing into a confident, out-going girl who hasn't met a challenge too large.
Beth is exceeding my expectations of her. I couldn't be happier.

Heidi

Heidi is a red girl we kept out of Arnold and one of our friend's girls. Heidi represents the infusion of some new blood to Gamestaff. Heidi is a very responsive girl, very interested and in tune with the people around her. It is hard to remember that she is not backed by all Gamestaff dogs. Her sire is obvious when watching her intereact with people and other dogs, and her dam has turned out to have been a nice choice.

In typical puppy fashion around here, Heidi is keeping all the adult dogs on their toes.

Our girl out of Marley and Dude, is a structurally great package with a personality to match. A decent sized girl, Sally has come into a 15.5 inch classic style frame. Sally is physically a brindle version of her mother and with temperament she isn't far off either. A nice dark brindle dog with a small white blaze and chin. Physically imposing and athletic, Sally is over-the-top friendly with people. Five generations of Gamestaff dogs are behind this beauty. A big thanks to our friends for helping us with this little girl!

Mack

Mack is out of Bell and Apollo. When five years old, Mack came in at 17.5 inches and 40 pounds, he is a big boy. Every year I say Mack has come into his own and has hit his best, every year he proves me wrong by maturing into a better dog than I ever could have guessed. Mack is the picture of an “old school” Stafford; hard, athletic with a great personality. This is a dog that really gives everyone who meets him a glimpse of what happens when raw power and athleticism combine with a rock solid temperament. Mack resides with my brother and his family and has officially reached "beast" status. He is a dream to deal with and a monster to look at. Mack is one of those dogs you can literally "knock-on" and it sounds like you are knocking on an oak tree. Hard muscle from nose to tail. A proven stud, Mack is taking us past his third generation status into the future. This is just an amazing dog.

Odin

Odin was sired by our old Jack and was whelped by Bell. He measures 15.5 inches tall and is a solid 35 pounds. Short-backed, close coupled, angled like he could leap tall buildings, dead level with a tight waist, big spring of ribs and more muscle than should fit on a dog of his size. Bred here and owned by our good friend, Odin is proudly carrying on our blood as a great specimen and a fourth generation product of the Gamestaff effort. This boy has proven his worth as a stud for us, siring some outstanding pups. A perfect blend of his parents, this dog is truly an all-purpose Stafford. Like his dad, Odin is a go-anywhere, do anything kind of Stafford. Never met a stranger, always trust-worthy, this is the kind of dog who is really best-friend material. When people describe how good-natured a Stafford can be, they are talking about dogs like Odin.

Dude

Dude is a litter-mate to Claire and a son of Mack and Myra and sire to Sally and Beth. A fourth generation Gamestaff dog, he is a real specimen of what Gamestaff has been doing from the beginning. Smaller than his dad, but still a good sized boy, Dude is a 16.5 inch, 37 pound business dog. Active, strong, smart and great with every person he has met. Bred down from some of the greats, Dude is an example of taking the best from the sire and from the dam and coming out with something better than either. Dude has had some big expectations put on him as far as what i expect him to do. This is on dog that constantly impresses me on every level.

Arnold

Arnold is a Jack and Myra son, full brother to Gracie, sire to Rex a fourth generation Gamestaff and is just a cool dog. Arnold is one of those dogs that changes people's mind about what they thought they knew about the breed and is showing everyone he meets everything great about Staffords. This dog is a bigger, stockier version of his dad but shares his dad’s temperament and type. He is one of our stockiest dogs at 16 inches and 38 pounds, although watching him move, he might as well be half that weight. Bred here and happily owned and living with good friends, Arnold is proving his value as a stud for us. Intense about everything in life, this dog is just awesome.

Rex is our keeper out of Arnold and Bell. He is our proud fifth generation of Gamestaff dogs. This dog is so much like his grand-sire in so many ways. Pure trouble in every way, he reminds me so much of old Jack. Like Jack, Rex is a physical specimen. Well put together and able to use it. Rex has reached a flat 16 inches, with a nice short 14.5 inch back. 35 pounds of athletic muscle make up this little body-builder. His high drive, mental fortitude and a sense of confidence and entitlment belonging to a dog ten times his size are backed up with more physical ability as the days go on.
I stand-by what I thought of this dog the day he was born, he is has turned into a great stafford.

Claire is our keeper daughter out of Mack and Myra, a litter-mate to Dude and a fourth generation Gamestaff Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a very strong Dymanite influence. At 15.5 inches tall and a fit 24 pounds, Claire is a dark clone of her Grandmother Bell in physical type and personality. This dog is hard for me to fault, I love everything about her. She is beautiful and in true Gamestaff form, rivals the athleticism of the best of the best with a world class temperament. Of course I am bias in my opinions, but Claire next to most any other Stafford will leave that dog wanting.

Myra is our old girl out of half Dynamite and half old Yankeestaff lines. At almost eleven years old, she comes in at a fit 24 pounds and 14.5 inches tall. This dog is a pack of dynamite wrapped up in a perfectly mannered old style Stafford. Judging by her actions one would never guess she is getting on in years. She is our household enforcer, ensuring the others keep things in line. This dog does not think twice about backing up what she says and has the mental and physical ability to do it. Myra is the ideal house-dog in everyway. Her value and contribution to what we are doing in our breeding program has been invaluable.

Marley is a proud daughter of a Gamestaff sire (Bomber, full brother to Mack, son of Apollo and Bell) and a Di-Jo dam. She is owned by good friends of ours and we are privileged to use her in our program. Marley is a 15.5 inch, 27 pound bitch with a physical make-up second to none. A confident dog but with nothing to prove to members of her own species, Marley is pleasure to have in the house. A great all-round bitch.

Bell

Bell is an excellent specimen of all things Stafford. Period.

She came to us from our good friends at Dynamite Staffords and is as good as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier can get. Bell is our "pack matriarch" and silently rules each dog in our house. She is everything text book about an old Stafford. This dog is athletic on a whole new level. At 15.5 inches and 28 pounds she will give any canine athlete a run for it’s money and then some, this dog does not tire. Bell has an exceptional pedigree, perfect temperament, out-standing physical ability and is just a great all-rounder. Bell's value to us is not easily measured and this is a real understatement. I love this dog. You just don’t see dogs like Bell around everyday. Fortunately for us she has passed some of her traits on to some excellent specimens for us.

Tess is a daughter of Myra and is a true lady. A real balance of the characteristics of the original Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She was made to be around babies and kids and is conscious of all going on in the house. To call this dog "affectionate" would be the biggest under-statement that could be made about Tess. She LOVES people. At 16 inches and 26 pounds she is old timey in her looks and ability. Her physique is that of a true athlete, with muscle, stamina and drive to spare. Tess has been put to the test over and again with the same result. This dog is the real deal.

Jack (RIP)

The dog that got us into this breed, Jack Dempsey

This dog was all personality. You loved him or you didn't, Jack didn't leave anyone on the fence.

Over-the-top, intense, loyal, crazy, my best friend.

This dog did it all; PP, weight pull, coursing, conformation, OB.

We tried and tested Jack in every arena we could, and were never disappointed.

Coming in at 15.5 inches tall and when in hard fit condition was 33 pounds.

Jack was happiest when he was tired, cut up, bruised, limping, dirty and was spending time with his best friend.

I truely miss this dog.

Gracie (Retired)

at three years

Gracie is our daughter of Jack (RIP) and Myra and is a full sister to Arnold. Looking at this dog makes us remember what we got into this breed for in the first place. If we have a beauty queen of a dog, Gracie is it. Beautiful from head to toe, she is 14 inches and 23 pounds. Stocky, small, firey and a perfect house dog in a beautiful package, we couldn’t be happier.

Apollo (RIP)

Apollo was the last Gamestaff dog used in the program who was bred and owned by Dave and Arlene Lygo.

Apollo is the sire of Mack, uncle of Jack, nephew to Myra, grand-sire to Dude and Claire and the list goes on. Apollo was an excellent specimen of a dog. All things Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Apollo was a true ambassador of the breed. A true compilation of his ancestors, I couldn't think of a better dog to contribute to future generations.

A good sized boy, Apollo measured 16.5 inches and fit around 37 pounds of hard muscle.
